The foggy and wet nature of the area, with heather and peat in the background, is perfectly reflected in the malt whiskey produced by Oban. Oban uses the best barley, which is fermented with the special recipe of the distillery which is one of the most historic and elegant in all of Scotland.

The rich fruity malt is slowly concentrated in wooden hot containers located outside at high points of the distillery before maturing in oak barrels for 14 years. It has a deep golden color and sweet aroma of fruit, tobacco and salt. It tastes like autumn fruits, dried figs and at the end a smoky dryness and a long and sweet aftertaste.
