Aberlour 12 Year Pure Malt Double Cask Matured is a whiskey that matures in both traditional oak barrels and sherry, now bottled at 40% degrees. This double matured version is a mixture of traditional barrels with herbs and sherry and is rich and fruity.
Buttery cinnamon sensation, concentrated raisin and cherry in the background and woody touches from the barrel. The taste is intense butter sweet, with maple syrup, brown sugar, juicy raisins, nutmeg and milk chocolate. Medium length finish, with chocolate and raisins.
